Pedestrian-Vehicle Collision Causes Injuries and Outage for 3,500 Customers

A collision in west Las Vegas on Thursday afternoon has left two individuals in critical condition and caused a power outage affecting approximately 3,500 customers, officials say. The crash occurred around 2:24 p.m. near the intersection of Buffalo Drive and Vegas Drive and involved two vehicles and a pedestrian, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Both the pedestrian and one occupant of a vehicle were rushed to a local hospital in critical condition. Power went out in the area, and NV Energy crews worked to restore service as quickly as possible. Traffic was blocked in all directions of Buffalo Drive and parts of Vegas Drive, prompting authorities to advise motorists to avoid the area while the investigation continues.
