
Police in Las Vegas Issue a Warning on the Rise of Young Targets for Cybercrime

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is warning of an increase in cybercrime targeting youngsters.
Officers announced on Twitter that they are looking into further incidents of “Sextortion,” which occurs when criminals attempt to extort their victims by threatening to publicly divulge their sexual activities.
Police have announced a collaboration with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to create a cyber tipline for victims to report crimes.
