LAS VEGAS -People in the area say this raises safety concerns, especially for one individual.

Luis Luna Jr. reported a quarter-mile of lights are out.

Luis Luna Jr. lives in Cadence and walks the neighborhood every night.

Two weeks ago, he realized the cadence vista and sunset roundabout lights were out.

“We still have wildlife in that park until dusk, so crossing the roadway and having a car impact wildlife is your concern,” said Luna Jr.

Luna Jr. worries about his own safety.

“Last night, I was riding my bike with lights, and all, and I went through the roundabout, and this person didn’t notice me until his headlights hit me because when you’re coming around the circle, you don’t see traffic until it’s there,” said Luna Jr.

Luna contacted Henderson’s municipal hall to report the outages.

Luna Jr. reported it, but nothing happened. “I requested escalation and a supervisor’s involvement.”

Cadence HOA confirmed that Henderson owns the streetlights.

Henderson is investigating the outages.
