Suspicious Church Fire Under Investigation in North Las Vegas

North Las Vegas, NV – A fire at a church in the North Las Vegas valley is currently under investigation and has been deemed suspicious by local authorities.
The incident occurred on Thursday, shortly before 2:30 p.m., in the 2000 block of Yale Street near Lake Mead Boulevard. Fire crews responding to the scene observed light smoke emanating from the gable vents of the church building.
Upon entering the building, firefighters discovered a fire burning in an exterior wall. The fire was successfully contained to the exterior wall and did not spread to the interior or attic of the church.
Thankfully, there were no injuries reported among those inside the building or the firefighters who responded to the incident.
As is standard procedure in cases of church fires, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) is assisting the North Las Vegas Fire and Police Departments in the investigation.
