Impairment Suspected in Fatal Scooter-SUV Crash in Central Valley
A tragic collision between a scooter and an SUV in the central valley on Thursday evening resulted in the death of a 52-year-old woman. According to Las Vegas police, the woman was riding her electric scooter when she was struck by the SUV as it was making a right turn. The impact was severe, and despite the efforts of medical responders, the scooter rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

A 19-year-old man was fatally shot at an apartment complex on East Desert Inn Road near McLeod Drive on Thursday afternoon. The victim was on the front porch when he was shot after a brief conversation with an unidentified individual. Hit-and-Run Crash Claims Pedestrian’s Life, Driver Arrested
A 62-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash on West Maule Avenue on Thursday night. The victim was crossing the street when she was struck by a BMW M4. The driver, 21-year-old Ali Khar, fled the scene but later returned and informed officers of the vehicle’s location. Khar was arrested on hit-and-run charges and did not show signs of impairment. This incident marks the 100th traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction this year.
