Turtles Rescued by North Las Vegas Police Department, Returned to Natural Habitat

LAS VEGAS – In a heartwarming act of compassion, officers from the North Las Vegas Police Department successfully rescued a group of turtles and ensured their safe return to their natural habitat. The turtles, identified as red-eared sliders, were discovered in distressing conditions when crime scene investigators were called to process a vehicle.

According to department officials, the officers were taken aback when they found the turtles confined in the trunk of the vehicle. The poor creatures were visibly suffering from the intense heat and dehydration.
