Turtles Rescued by North Las Vegas Police Department, Returned to Natural Habitat

LAS VEGAS – In a heartwarming act of compassion, officers from the North Las Vegas Police Department successfully rescued a group of turtles and ensured their safe return to their natural habitat. The turtles, identified as red-eared sliders, were discovered in distressing conditions when crime scene investigators were called to process a vehicle.

According to department officials, the officers were taken aback when they found the turtles confined in the trunk of the vehicle.
