Two Dead After Shooting in Northeast Las Vegas Parking Lot

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) is investigating a shooting that left two men dead early Sunday morning.
Officers Respond to Shooting Scene
At approximately 12:03 am, LVMPD received reports of a shooting on the 700 block of West Owens Avenue in the northeast valley. Responding officers located a man suffering from a gunshot wound at the scene. He was pronounced dead.
Second Victim Arrives at Hospital
Dispatch received a follow-up report of a gunshot victim who arrived at a local hospital with multiple wounds. Investigators determined the individual was also connected to the shooting on West Owens Avenue. He later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Investigation Underway
LVMPD’s initial investigation indicates that a verbal altercation between several individuals in a business parking lot escalated into gunfire.
