Updated COVID Vaccination Is Now Available for Children Under the Age of Five

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – A new version of the COVID-19 vaccination for children aged 6 months to 5 years old is now available.
Following recent modifications from the CDC and FDA recommendations, the Southern Nevada Health District is providing more information.
According to the CDC, just around 5% of children under the age of five are completely vaccinated. The initiative attempts to increase vaccination coverage among the unvaccinated.
- Children ages 6 months through 5 years who previously completed a two-dose Moderna primary series are eligible to receive a Moderna bivalent booster two months after their final primary series dose.
- Children ages 6 months through 4 years who are completing a three-dose Pfizer primary series will receive a Pfizer bivalent vaccine as their third primary dose.
The COVID-19 vaccination will be accessible at clinics run by The Southern Nevada Health District.
