Las Vegas, NV – Nikki Serrat, 32, faced her first court appearance Wednesday following a tragic crash that took the lives of two young children, Taliyah Lewis, 6, and Dante Lewis, 11. Serrat faces charges of reckless driving resulting in death and hit-and-run, with additional charges tied to her probation status at the time of the incident. Serrat has been ordered held without bail.
The fatal crash took place last Friday just after 5 p.m. at the intersection of East Flamingo Road and South Pecos-McLeod Interconnect. According to authorities, Serrat was allegedly driving a sedan westbound on Flamingo Road when she attempted a high-speed right turn against a red light, colliding with a compact SUV. The collision’s impact was severe, pushing the SUV into two additional vehicles and injuring another driver in the process.
