5 Are Displaced as a Result of the Sun Valley Fire

A fire that started in Sun Valley Monday morning spread to a residence, displacing five people.
Truckee Meadows Fire and NV Energy were called to the scene of the fire at East First Avenue and Carol Street. According to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, deputies discovered a minor fire in the backyard of a property there.
Although five individuals were evacuated from the building, the residents will be relocated as a result of the incident.
Residents in nearby residences were able to flee.
There were no reported injuries, and the reason is still being investigated.
