Attempted Kidnapping Suspect Turns Himself in to Authorities

RENO, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – Earlier this week in Carson City, a man who is accused of attempting to abduct a CVS employee turned himself in to police, according to deputies.
According to deputies, Omar Garcia-Madrigal called the police after he allegedly identified himself in the publicly available security images.
Garcia-Madrigal, according to the authorities, cooperated with the inquiry and consented to talk with Detectives about the allegedly occurrence.
The Special Enforcement Team of the Carson City Sheriff’s Office then successfully arrested him at his home.
After being questioned, deputies report that Omar Garcia-Madrigal was taken into custody on counts of NRS 207.260.4A Illegal contact with a juvenile and NRS 200.310.2 Attempted Kidnapping in the Second Degree.
Garcia-Madrigal is being detained on a bail of $40,000.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is asking for help from the public to identify a suspect in an attempted kidnapping.
They claim that on January 16 at around 5 p.m., the suspect—who was a frequent visitor to the area—entered the 1980 N. After hanging around the shop for more than an hour on Carson Street, the suspect grabbed a worker by the wrist and dragged her outside.
The worker was successful in escaping the suspect’s hold so that she could phone 911 safely inside the business.
The suspect, according to the police, is not connected to any cars and arrived at the CVS Pharmacy from the downtown area on foot.
He is described as a 5’6″ to 6′ tall, Hispanic man, aged 22 to 26, with an average build. He was last spotted with black hooded sweatshirt and tan or khaki slacks on.
The hooded hoodie includes red and white ’49ers’ text on the chest and white vertical stripes at the shoulders. In addition, the guy was sporting a black baseball cap with a white emblem in the middle and white sneakers.
