SPARKS, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, one individual was killed in an accident at I-80/Mustang.
According to NHP, about 6:00 a.m. on Oct. 20, a 2016 Volvo S60 driven by Stephan William Adams was going west on I-80 when it attempted to pass a 2021 GMC Savanna driven by Wayne Parillo.
Their investigation revealed that the Volvo’s left rear tire collided with the GMC’s right front tire, forcing the Volvo to rotate clockwise, exit the eastbound lane, and continue across the unprotected median.
The Volvo then crossed the path of an eastbound 2010 Hyundai Sonata. The Hyundai’s front end collided with the Volvo’s right side.
Adams, a Reno resident, was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the Hyundai was taken to the hospital with significant injuries, but no additional information regarding his condition was available.
Parillo was not hurt, and his next of kin has been contacted.
