RENO, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – Collaborating with non-profit group Vitalant to raise awareness about the drop in blood donations
According to Vitalant and the CDC, as seasonal illnesses such as the flu increase, the number of healthy donors tends to decline, leaving Vitalant’s blood supply exposed to a potential shortage around the holidays.
To prepare for or avert a shortage, Vitalant invites anybody to swing by or arrange an appointment on their website.
Scott Edward, Vitalant Recruiting Manager, states,
We are constantly seeking for donations, and now that it is the holiday season, we want to make a huge splash.
From November 14 to 30, Vitalant will give donors a $10 Amazon gift card as a special thank you for donating blood.
