Driver in Stolen Car Leads Reno Police on Chase

NEVADA – Late Thursday night, detectives from the Regional Crime Suppression Unit, or RCSU, caught Michael Segna.
The trouble started earlier in the day when Reno Police pulled over a car they thought had been stolen recently. Responders say that Segna was in the car at the time with a baby. Segna is said to have driven away and hit an officer on the way. That officer wasn’t hurt too badly. After that, deputies from Carson City tried to stop the same car. Segna got away from the police, so they told the RCSU that he might be going to Sparks.
When detectives saw Segna driving the car around the Nugget Casino, they tried to catch him and damaged some property in the process. When they found each other in the Stead area, Segna ran away. Senga was found after a perimeter was set up and K9 units helped with the search. He was said to have had two guns on him. Segna has a felony on his record, which means he can’t carry a gun. The baby was found at a house in Stead, and Child Protective Services took care of it.
Segna is now facing multiple charges, such as battery with a deadly weapon, possession of a stolen vehicle, resisting an officer with a deadly weapon, putting a child in danger, driving recklessly, and having a gun when he is not allowed to have one.
