Elko Police Investigate Church Arson

NEVADA – Arson has been suspected at the LDS church in Elko.
After midnight on February 12, the Elko Police Department claims they responded to a fire alarm at a church on Sagecrest Drive.
Upon arrival, they found that two fires within the church had been started on purpose.
As well as setting the church on fire, they discovered that the perpetrator(s) had broken a glass door and stolen other goods, which they had placed in the parking lot.
Even though the fire was put out, the church’s interior suffered heavily from smoke damage.
