
Geiger Grade, State Route 341 Open with Chains or Snow Tires Required Amid Road Closures in Nevada

NEVADA – Geiger Grade, State Route 341, is now open with a requirement of chains or snow tires. However, several other roads in Nevada remain closed due to extreme weather conditions. The Nevada Department of Transportation has reported that as of Tuesday afternoon, I-580 is closed from the Bowers Mansion area to Mt. Rose Highway (SR 431). This closure is due to severe blowing snow, multiple crashes, and extremely low visibility, making it dangerous for drivers to travel on this route.
The Nevada Department of Transportation is closely monitoring the situation and is working to clear the roads as quickly as possible. However, given the severity of the storm, it is unclear when these roads will be reopened.
