Google Will Give $100,000 to Rural Nevada Counseling Centers on World Mental Health Day
NEVADA – Google donates $100,000 to Rural Nevada Counseling on World Mental Health Day to expand mental health services in Northern Nevada.
This donation should double the number of clients served in a year.
Kate Franko, Google’s Regional Head of Data Center Public Affairs, said, “We’re thrilled to help enhance mental health resources in rural Nevada.” Mental and behavioral health treatments and education are vital to a healthy community.
Google’s donation to Rural Nevada Counseling will pay for salaries for additional therapists, supported services to serve more clients, and outreach materials to reach populations that may not know about Rural Nevada Counseling’s offerings.
“Google’s generous grant will assist Rural Nevada Counseling to continue its goal, vision, and commitment to the welfare of our consumers, their families, and the surrounding community,” said Joshua Cabral.
“We know it’s difficult to enhance mental wellness. Having community partners like Google helps us better serve our customers.
Rural Nevada Counseling services people of various ages, races, ethnicities, gender identities, economic statuses, and sexual orientations.
