
LCSO Warns Residents of Phone Scam

RENO, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is alerting locals of a phone scam that is plaguing the community.
The caller, who claims to be Sheriff Brad Pope, informs the receiver that they are wanted on an arrest warrant and that they must “deposit a bail,” according to the LCSO.
The number being utilized returns to the Fernley Substation of the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
The LCSO warns individuals not to fall for these con artists’ demands for money or personal information over the phone, claiming that they would never do so.
