NEVADA – Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo has directed for the early closure of all state offices in northern Nevada due to the winter snowstorm that has been causing severe weather and possibly dangerous roads.
The Department of Public Safety and NDOT have both reported on the impact of the storm.
As a result, offices in several counties, including Carson City, Douglas County, Esmeralda County, Lincoln County, Lyon County, Nye County, Storey County, and Washoe County, have been ordered to close at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
However, public safety and corrections personnel are excluded from this order.
