One Person Died and a Toddler Was Injured Early Wednesday in East Las Vegas

EAST LAS VEGAS – At 2:05 a.m., a four-door car was going south on Pecos Road when, for unknown reasons, the driver turned off the road at Charleston Boulevard. The car then crashed into a traffic pole at the southwest corner of the intersection.
A driver who was an adult was taken to the hospital, where they later died. A child in the car was hospitalized with serious injuries but was expected to survive.
The intersection was closed from all directions.
