RENO, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – The Medicare Store will have a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, November 15 at 10 a.m. to commemorate the grand opening of its newest Reno store.
465 S. Meadows Parkway, Suite 2, Reno, Nevada
The Medicare Store is a nonpartisan Nevada-based firm that offers free individualized Medicare assistance.
A team of senior officials and The Medicare Store representatives will be on hand to deliver tours of the new storefront, as well as refreshments for participants and Medicare registration information.
The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period is officially open and will close on December 7, 2022. This time period allows all Medicare-eligible seniors to make modifications to their Medicare coverage.
“It’s been our pleasure to support the Reno community since we opened our first location last year. We’re excited to expand our presence to help more local seniors with free, unbiased, personal advice and look forward to welcoming you at our event,” said Calvin Bagley, President/CEO.
Since its inception in late 2021, The Medicare Store in Reno has assisted over 2,000 customers with their Medicare decisions and enrollments.
The goal of this second location is to help even more Reno residents choose the best Medicare option for them by providing unbiased guidance from The Medicare Store agents.
Medicare Orientation Classes and Workshops
The Medicare Store also provides FREE Medicare Orientation classes and workshops in Reno and Carson City every month, indefinitely. Each month, almost 750 people in Northern Nevada (Carson City, Reno, and adjacent regions) reach the age of 65. The Medicare Store is ready to provide these residents with critical Medicare information by providing free Medicare Orientation classes and Workshops in English and Spanish.
The seminars are entirely educational and are designed to meet a demand in Northern Nevada. At these events, no merchandise will be sold.
Those who should take these sessions are nearing retirement, leaving a group plan, or are currently on Medicare but are unsure if they are receiving all of the benefits they are entitled to.
The one-hour workshop will clear up any confusion about Medicare. Attendees will learn how Medicare works and what to anticipate from each plan choice, as well as information on Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D and Medicare Supplements (Medigap). Attendees at the workshop will also learn how to review their Medicare benefits on an annual basis.
