NEVADA – The show must go on!
The traditional New Year’s Eve fireworks display at the ROW in downtown Reno is still scheduled for Saturday night at midnight.
According to a casino spokesperson, the city’s fire marshal will make the final judgment 15 to 30 minutes before showtime. The fireworks will be released from the Silver Legacy’s roof.
The wind cannot be too strong nor rain too heavily for the fireworks to be released. Most of the region is under a flood watch until Saturday evening. Heavy rain is anticipated to fall from Friday afternoon to Saturday evening.
