SPARKS, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – In an effort to reduce speeding, the Sparks Police Department, in collaboration with other northern Nevada agencies, will increase high-visibility patrols.
The additional patrols will be in effect until January 3, 2023.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, speeding is one of the most prevalent culprits in collisions, costing society more than $40 billion every year.
The additional patrols are funded by a Joining Forces program grant from the Nevada Department of Public Safety/Office of Traffic Safety.
