Student Arrested At Yerington High School For Possession Of Firearm On

NEVADA – A minor was caught after bringing a gun onto the Yerington High School campus, according to authorities.

The Yerington Police Department was called to the school around noon Tuesday for reports of a person with a pistol.

Officers discovered a firearm parked on school grounds and arrested the person responsible for bringing the gun on campus.

According to YPD, this looks to be an isolated incidence with no ongoing danger. There are no more suspects or weapons on the loose.

According to the department, many specifics of the incident will not be revealed because the suspect is a minor.
