The 911 System Is Down in Parts of Washoe and Churchill Counties
NEVADA – In light of recent problems with 911 calls across northern Nevada, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) is informing the general public.
As of 5:25 PM on Oct 5, Incline Village, 911 calls are operational but may be busy.
You can try again or dial (775) 785-9276 if you get a busy tone when dialing 911.
The 911 line in Reno is also malfunctioning, but the city is working to fix the problem.
In case of an emergency, please phone 775-334-2161 or try again later.
The Churchill County Sheriff’s Office has reported problems with both their emergency and regular phone lines, as well as the jail.
