The WCSO Search & Rescue Team Discovered a Woman Who Had Gone Missing at Pyramid Lake Safe and Sound

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team discovered missing woman Cindy Matthews near the west shore of Pyramid Lake at midnight on September 5, 2022.
According to WCSO officials, when she was found, 34-year-old Matthews was suffering from dehydration and sunburns, but she was treated on the scene and reunited with her family.
The search and rescue operation included the Incident Management Team, the HASTY Team, and the Specialized Vehicle Unit.
A missing woman near Pyramid Lake is being sought by the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Search & Rescue Team.
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team was notified of a missing woman near Pyramid Lake around 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, 2022.
Cindy Matthews, 34, was last seen on the west side of Pyramid Lake at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 4, 2022.
Matthews stands 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair.
