Volunteers from the Lizzy Hammond Foundation and PTSD Now teamed together ahead of Veteran’s Day to clean up the Northern Nevada Veteran’s Cemetery in Fernley on October 23, 2022.
According to the organization’s employees, the cemetery is overcrowded and the headstones are overgrown, so volunteers are assisting in making it shine in honor of military veterans.
Volunteers were invited to bring their own equipment for upkeep, such as hedgers, clippers, and weed eaters.
