A guy was detained on Tuesday in connection with a robbery in south Reno involving an elderly woman earlier this week.
5 September evening, deputies from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a robbery on Rim Rock Drive in the Virginia Foothills. On camera, the guy was seen approaching the elderly woman as she exited her vehicle, pulling her out of the car, and snatching her pocketbook.
The next day, while conducting an investigation at the Atlantis Casino, deputies observed a vehicle resembling the suspect vehicle in the case. Police acquired a search order and discovered items and footwear shown on surveillance footage from the incident.
Michael Bossie, 31, was detained for the robbery after committing a driving infraction near the intersection of Gentry Way and South Virginia Street. There are still ongoing charges.
Please contact the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office at 775-328-3320 if you have any information on this case.
