Adult Found Deceased Following Fully Engulfed Northwest Valley House Fire

LAS VEGAS, NV — Fire investigators and homicide detectives are evaluating the scene of a fatal residential fire in the northwest Las Vegas Valley after emergency crews discovered an adult deceased inside the structure.

Two responding Metropolitan Police Department officers were evaluated at the scene for smoke inhalation.

Emergency Response on Majestic Bay Street

According to Las Vegas Fire & Rescue reports, dispatchers received emergency calls around 7:10 PM on Wednesday reporting a structure fire along the 7000 block of Majestic Bay Street, near Farm Road and North Decatur Boulevard.

Metro officers who were in the immediate vicinity on an unrelated call arrived first and began evacuating neighboring residences as fire engines arrived. First arriving units found the single-story residence fully engulfed in flames.

Primary Search Uncovers Casualty

Fire crews initiated aggressive suppression tactics to contain the blaze and prevent exposure damage to adjacent homes. Following primary control of the fire, interior search teams located the victim inside.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity and official cause of death following family notification, while fire investigators work to determine the origin of the blaze.
