Main Street Construction Closure Announced for Arts District

LAS VEGAS, NV — City of Las Vegas public works officials announced Wednesday that a major infrastructure project will trigger extended lane restrictions and street closures along the Las Vegas Arts District starting Monday, August 10, 2026.

The construction sequence involves utility modernizations and pedestrian corridor upgrades along the urban downtown core.

Traffic Detours Along Charleston Boulevard

According to city transit filings, Main Street will be completely closed on the south side of Charleston Boulevard.

Traffic traveling both northbound and southbound along Charleston Boulevard will be restricted to one single lane in each direction through the intersection, with heavy delays expected during morning and evening rush hours.
