On Tuesday, the temperature in Sin City reached 110 degrees, as a searing heat wave continued to ravage Las Vegas and the Southwest.
It was the sixth hottest day of 2022 in Las Vegas, said Brian Planz, a meteorologist with the Las Vegas office of the National Weather Service.
National Weather Service forecasts warn that the Las Vegas Valley will see life-threatening heat over the next few days.
The excessive heat warning has been extended for another week as highs of 12 degrees above average are forecast to last until Thursday.
