RENO, Nev.- The United States District Court for the District of Nevada is alerting residents about phone and email scams that demand money in order to escape arrest.
They promise not to phone or email you with such a request.
You may be prompted to submit private data as part of the calls, which could lead to identity theft and fraud. They may also put pressure on the recipient to make an instant payment.
