Man Killed After Being Hit by a Tree-Trimming Vehicle in Sunset Park

An incident with a tree-trimming vehicle occurred Tuesday afternoon in Sunset Park, killing one person.
A tragic collision happened in Sunset Park, located between Sunset Road and Eastern Avenue, about 1:38 p.m.
According to authorities, a 2015 Freightliner M2 tree-trimming truck was traveling eastward through Sunset Park when it collided with a person who was resting on the ground in the northeast part of the park.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the site by emergency responders.
According to officials, the driver of the Freightliner remained at the site and exhibited no symptoms of impairment.
The pedestrian’s death was the 115th traffic-related fatality in the jurisdiction of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in 2022.
