Prisoner in Clark County Detention Center Died After a Fight

One inmate died following an argument with his cellmate at the Clark County Detention Center on Monday afternoon, according to police.
An LVMPD prison officer spotted the offender unconscious inside his cell about 2:04 p.m. He was taken to UMC Trauma and pronounced dead there.
According to authorities, the guy was involved in a fight with his cellmate, 30-year-old Lee Johnson, and died as a result of his injuries.
Corrections authorities arrested Lee and rebooked him into CCDC for open murder.
Police did not immediately announce the identification of the dead inmate.
ORIGINAL 10/18: A death investigation involving an inmate is ongoing at the Clark County Detention Center.
According to officials, murder detectives arrived at the location on Tuesday evening.
