A Car Hit a Pedestrian Crossing Eastbound Las Vegas Boulevard
LAs VEGAS – A person was taken to the hospital following an accident just west of northbound I-15.
A pedestrian was crossing Las Vegas Boulevard eastbound outside of a marked crosswalk, according to police. The tragedy occurred when a Nissan driver heading northbound on Las Vegas Boulevard struck a pedestrian crossing and forced them onto the road.
The pedestrian was taken to UMC Trauma with life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Around 6 p.m. on Thursday, the incident occurred near East Washington Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard.
A section of the road has been closed as police examine the event.
There has been no further information revealed.
