Prepare Yourself for More Storms This Weekend
By TheNevadaGlobeStaff, January 12, 2023 11:39 am
RENO, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – By Friday afternoon, our next storm will have reached the mountains, bringing with it heavy snow and chain restrictions.
Through the weekend and the beginning of the next week, expect chain restrictions and delays in the highlands.
On Saturday, a new moisture system rolls in, bringing with it significant snowfall in the Sierras and valley rain.
In our valleys, the rain turns to snow from Saturday night until Sunday morning.
By Sunday morning, expect sloppy roads due to 1 to 3 inches of snow covering our valleys.
Another wave of snow showers will make Monday’s morning commute treacherous as well.
