LAS VEGAS – Clark County will open a temporary marriage license office at Harry Reid International Airport today through February 14th.
The office will be open every day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Terminal 1’s baggage claim area, near Carousel 5.
“Las Vegas is the Wedding Capital of the World, and this February will be especially busy with couples celebrating Valentine’s Day marriages,” Goya explained. “Couples appreciate the ease of the Pop-Up Marriage License Bureau because it allows them to spend more time enjoying the range of things we have to offer in Las Vegas.”
Only marriage licenses and vow renewal certificates will be issued by the pop-up office. Only credit/debit card payments will be accepted at the office. Marriage licenses are priced at $102.
Couples planning to marry in Las Vegas should complete out a marriage license pre-application, which may be obtained on the County Clerk’s website (choose “Marriage License Application” from the upper left corner of the website). After completing the online application, the couple will be given a reference number that they can provide to the deputy clerk at any Marriage License Bureau location.
Couples applying for a marriage license must present suitable identification, such as a driver’s license or passport. Bot
The Marriage License Bureau, a component of the Clark County Clerk’s Office, issues approximately 80,000 marriage licenses every year, making it the busiest in the world. In 2022, 79,279 licenses were issued, the most since 2016, when 81,325 licenses were issued.
During the days running up to and including Valentine’s Day, more than 1,500 marriage licenses are often issued, which is roughly twice the number of licenses issued during a non-holiday period.
The wedding industry is also an important part of the tourism economy in Las Vegas.
The industry, which includes hotels, entertainment, dining, and other activities, generates more than $2.5 billion every year.
