NEVADA – The popular pedestrian bridge will be demolished by RTC, closing Oddie Blvd. in Reno for two weekends.
The Oddie and Silverada junction will be closed from Friday, February 10 at 7 p.m. until Monday, February 13 at 5 a.m. February 17–20, 7 p.m.–5 a.m. The northbound I-580-eastbound Oddie offramp will also be closed.
The Silverada Blvd. pedestrian bridge across Oddie Blvd. will be removed. The Oddie Wells Project will improve an ADA-accessible street crossing. The pedestrian bridge cannot be adapted to meet ADA standards using the same footprint and right of way. Bridge pedestrian counts are far lower than street-level crossing counts.
Businesses and homes within the closure will stay open.
