NEVADA – The Biden administration has announced a $3 million grant to the state of Nevada to address issues of gun violence and mental health.
Nevada’s funding is part of a larger set of funds dispersed around the country for the same purpose. The funds will be dispersed to various towns and states in order to help them solve the issue.
When it comes to mental health and getting help, Nevada is now ranked 51st. The Biden administration has stated that some gun violence can be traced back to untreated mental health issues and that funds could be used to expand treatment for at-risk and in-crisis individuals.
