Northern Nevada Schools Announce Delays and Cancellations for March 1 Due to Winter Weather Conditions

NEVADA – Several schools and educational institutions in the Northern Nevada area have announced delays or cancellations for Wednesday, March 1, due to forecasted weather conditions.
Washoe County schools (including Incline), will be on a two-hour delay with winter bus stops in effect and no early release.
Carson City School District schools will also observe a delayed 2-hour schedule, with buses operating on a 2-hour delay and no Pre-School classes or breakfast served at school.
The University of Nevada, Reno campus and Northern Nevada area will delay nonessential operations until 10 a.m.
Truckee Meadows Community College, all web and web-live classes, and remote operations will continue as scheduled. However, TMCC physical locations will open at 10 a.m., canceling all face-to-face classes and on-campus operations before 10 a.m.
All classes will be canceled in the Lake Tahoe Unified School District, and in-person classes and non-essential operations will be suspended at The University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe.
Storey County School District schools will be on a 2-hour delay, with a snow day possible if weather conditions worsen.
The Tahoe Truckee Unified School District will observe a snow day for March 1.
St. John’s Childrens Center, St. Albert the Great Catholic School and St. Albert the Great Child Development Center, and Newton Learning Center will also be on a two-hour delay.
