Woman Killed in Shooting Incident on Venus Lake Court in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS – The Las Vegas Metro Police are investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of a woman after an altercation with an unidentified man on Monday morning.

The incident occurred at around 9:07 a.m. on Venus Lake Court, where the victim was found in the walkway leading to her residence with an apparent gunshot wound.

She was transported to UMC, where she was later pronounced dead. According to a preliminary investigation by the police, the victim was shot by a male dressed in all-black clothing who fled the scene in a vehicle after the altercation.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim and the cause and manner of death.

The police urge anyone with information about the incident to contact the LVMPD Homicide Section or Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous.
