Pedestrian in Wheelchair Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Reno Collision

NEVADA – On Monday night, a pickup truck collided with a pedestrian in a wheelchair in northwest Reno, causing life-threatening injuries to the victim. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of W. Seventh Street and Sierra Highlands Drive.
According to authorities, the victim used the crosswalk when the accident occurred. The driver involved in the incident stayed at the scene and is working closely with investigators. The authorities have confirmed that they do not believe that impairment played a role in the collision.
The victim’s identity remains unknown, and there is no update on their current condition. The local police department is encouraging anyone with any relevant information regarding the incident to come forward and provide assistance with the ongoing investigation.
