LAS VEGAS – Residents of a central Las Vegas neighborhood are calling for changes to be made after a hit-and-run accident on Tuesday resulted in a car driving through the brick wall of a home and landing in an empty pool.
The car, a stolen white Kia, hit the wall with such force that fragments of brick nearly penetrated the home’s interior.
Witnesses reported seeing two men in their 30s flee the scene. No one was injured, and police are still searching for the suspects.
Neighbors are asking for speed bumps to be installed on the street to slow down reckless drivers who frequently travel through the area.
This is not the first time a corner house at the intersection has been hit, and residents fear that someone may be killed if action is not taken to address the problem.
