Escaped Suspect Arrested After Weeks on the Run

NEVADA – After a nearly three-week manhunt, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office successfully apprehended Cory Justin Tyler, 30, who had escaped from a Fernley holding cell on September 29.
Tyler was located in a Fernley apartment complex, near 175 Hardie Lane, along with Bradlee K. Morris, 24, who had several outstanding warrants.
Tyler faces charges for escape, probation violation, and illegal possession of a dangerous weapon, while Morris was booked on charges including grand larceny, resisting arrest, and an out-of-county warrant.
Two nearby schools were briefly placed on lockdown during the operation.
