Culinary Union Scores Another Vegas Win: Waldorf Astoria Workers Secure New Contract

Las Vegas hospitality workers are celebrating as the Culinary Union announces a tentative agreement on a new five-year contract with the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas! This deal covers nearly 300 workers, marking another victory for the union in its push for fair wages and better working conditions across the city.
Details of the contract remain under wraps for now, but this win follows the Culinary Union’s recent agreement with Resorts World Las Vegas last month. However, the fight isn’t over yet.
With a February 2nd strike deadline looming, the union is still locked in negotiations with several major properties, including Circus Circus, Sahara Las Vegas, and the iconic Rio. These workers deserve fair contracts too, and the union is determined to fight for them.
Here’s a list of the remaining properties where negotiations are ongoing:
- Circus Circus
- Hilton Grand Vacations
- Rio
- Sahara Las Vegas
- The STRAT
- Treasure Island
- Trump Hotel Las Vegas
- Virgin Hotels
- Westgate
- Binion’s
- Circa
- Downtown Grand
- El Cortez
- Four Queens
- Fremont
- Golden Gate
- Golden Nugget
- Main Street
- The D Casino
- Plaza
The union has already met with several of these properties this week, but progress reports are scarce. They also have upcoming meetings scheduled with Westgate and the Trump Hotel Las Vegas.
Stay tuned for further updates on the ongoing negotiations and the potential for strike action in the coming weeks.
