Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Employee Arrested on Theft Charge

A longtime Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) employee was arrested on a theft charge, the department announced.
Peggy Hendrix, 63, was arrested on May 7, 2024, and charged with felony theft for an amount between $1,200 and $5,000. FOX5 has requested further details on the specific allegations against Hendrix.
Hendrix served as a Detention Services Technician with LVMPD and had been employed by the department since 2007. LVMPD stated that Hendrix has been suspended with pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
Hendrix’s first court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.
