Tragic Apartment Fire Claims One Life in Southwest Las Vegas

A person tragically lost their life in an apartment fire that broke out on Wednesday afternoon in the southwest Las Vegas Valley.
The fire, reported shortly before 5 p.m., occurred at the Tides on Duneville apartment complex located at 5055 Duneville Street. Upon arrival, firefighters from the Clark County Fire Department observed light smoke but no visible flames.
However, a primary search of the two-story dwelling revealed a fatality. Fire crews conducted a forcible entry to access the unit and extinguish the blaze, which was contained to a single apartment.
No other injuries were reported, and occupants from three adjacent units were temporarily displaced while authorities investigated the scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and authorities are working to determine the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
