Las Vegas House Fire Claims Six Cats, Causes $100,000 in Damage

A fire that broke out in a Las Vegas garage on Sunday morning resulted in the tragic loss of six cats and caused an estimated $100,000 worth of damage, according to the Clark County Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to reports of a vehicle on fire inside the garage of a three-story single-family home located at 5928 Aurora Gold Avenue. While the house itself was filled with smoke, there was no active fire within the structure, and no human injuries were reported.
A significant response team consisting of 33 personnel, including firefighters, rescue crews, chief officers, investigators, and an air resource unit, attended the scene. Additionally, NV Energy and Southwest Gas were called in to manage utilities at the property.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
