Foothill High School in Henderson experienced a brief lockdown on Monday morning due to a reported bomb threat, according to a message sent to families by Principal Jonathan Synold.
Henderson and Clark County School District Police responded to the threat, placing the school on “secure status” as a precautionary measure. Students remained in their first-period classes while authorities, including K9 units, conducted a thorough investigation.
Principal Synold later informed families that the threat was determined to be unsubstantiated after police gave the “all clear.”
Following the incident, students were excused from their second-period classes and resumed their regular schedule from the third period onwards.
The swift response by law enforcement ensured the safety of students and staff, highlighting the importance of taking all threats seriously.
