Horror in Paris: American Teen Mom Throws Newborn from Hotel Window
By TheNevadaGlobeStaff, February 24, 2025 2:32 pm
Authorities in Paris are investigating a horrifying incident in which an 18-year-old American student allegedly threw her newborn baby out of a hotel window, leaving the umbilical cord still attached. French prosecutors have confirmed that the baby was found wrapped in a cloth outside the hotel in the 20th arrondissement early Monday morning.
Despite emergency care efforts, the infant did not survive and was pronounced dead at Robert Debré hospital at 7:45 AM. The young mother, reportedly on a study trip with other American students, had given birth inside a second-floor hotel room before throwing the baby out of the window.
French police have launched a murder investigation, and the young woman has been taken into custody while receiving medical treatment. Authorities are now working to determine the motive behind this shocking crime, while the case raises broader questions about mental health support, responsibility, and the legal implications for young mothers traveling abroad.
Should she face full criminal prosecution, or is this a tragic case of desperation?
